GRASS VALLEY, CA (December 2, 2018) – Injuries were sustained in a head-on crash on Highway 74, late Sunday afternoon.

According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 4:40 PM near Meyer Road. Reports from first responders showed that there were at least two vehicles involved in the incident: a Subaru Outback and a silver Chevrolet Silverado.

The Outback was reportedly found in a nearby ditch, but the events leading up to the collision are unclear at this time. Wrong-way driving may have been a contributing factor in the incident, but it is unknown if drugs and alchol were involved.

Paramedics responded to the scene and found one person who suffered wounds from the broken glass in one of the vehicles. Fortunately, the victim’s condition was minor and no additional medical treatment was needed.

Recovery and clearing operations were conducted in the area following the accident. Officials are still investigating the underlying cause of the accident, and no further details have been disclosed.

When driving, it is important to pay attention to your surroundings for other motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists on the road. By following driving laws and being careful when behind the wheel, you can keep yourself and others around you safe. Do not drive if you find yourself under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
