Roads Closed after Auto Accident near Highway 101

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 19, 2019) – Injuries were sustained in a car crash on westbound 80 Freeway, Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:03 AM, near the Highway 101 connector. First responders arrived to the area shortly after. Based on an initial report, there were two unidentified vehicles involved in the incident.
 
The paramedics were quickly requested due to needed medical attention. They eventually confirmed that the involved victims sustained multiple injuries. However, the conditions of the victims were not life-threatening.
 
Furthermore, the roads were consequently closed after six destroyed sand barrels scattered across the lanes. Clearing and cleaning operations were required following the collision. An investigation is ongoing to identify the manner and the cause of the accident. No further details have been made available.
