Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in 1 of 2 Collisions near Raley Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (December 9, 2018) – Injuries were sustained in two road accidents on 80 Freeway near the Raley Boulevard off-ramp, early Sunday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collisions took place at approximately 2:15 AM. Based on reports, the first incident was a solo-car crash.

The second incident was a hit-and-run case involving a red Pontiac, a Toyota sedan, and a Chevrolet Silverado. It is not clear if both accidents were connected to one another.

Injuries were reported in both collisions. Paramedics were requested to the scene for needed medical attention. One person was reportedly sent to San Francisco Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries. There is no update on their current medical condition.

The Chevy and Toyota sustained major front-end damages, and roads were blocked as clearing operations were performed in the area. There is an ongoing investigation to determine contributing factors that led to the crashes. No additional information has been released to the public.
