Road Blocked in Redding Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 44 near Interstate 5
REDDING, CA (May 20, 2021) – Wednesday morning, authorities reported injuries after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 44 near Interstate 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 8:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on westbound Highway 44 between Interstate 5 and the Sundial Bridge Drive exit.
Furthermore, responders confirmed that the crash left the victims with minor injuries.
Also, the crash partially blocked westbound Highway 44. On the other hand, the CHP said that the incident caused a major traffic backup on both directions of Interstate 5 and connecting onramps.
All roads have long since reopened.
