At Least 1 Person Injured in Victorville Four-Vehicle Crash on Palmdale Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (August 01, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash on Palmdale Road in Victorville resulted to various injuries Tuesday night.

The authorities said reports about the collision came in at around 7:43 p.m. near Emerald Road. The incident involved four vehicles — a white GMC Canyon, a gray Toyota Camry, a white Nissan van, and a white compact SUV.

A witness said that the white GMC Canyon was headed east on Palmdale Road when it attempted to turn left onto Emerald Road. However, Anita Granados, who is a resident in the area, said that cars are not allowed to make a left turn from Palmdale Road because it’s a double solid yellow line.

Emergency responders had to extricate at least one person trapped inside one of the vehicles. On the other hand, the Victorville Fire crew treated people for various unknown injuries. No person involved sustained life-threatening injuries.

The crash blocked all eastbound lanes on Palmdale Road. One westbound lane remained opened while officials investigated.

When driving, it is important to always focus on the road and be aware of your surroundings. If you are crossing a busy intersection, activate your turn signal or blinker before making any turns. If you are turning in a road where there is no dedicated left-turn signal or lane, be patient and make sure there is no obstruction to your view. Driving with caution and following the conditions of the road can help prevent accidents which may have devastating consequences for you and for others.
