Man Injured in San Diego Bicycle Accident on Via De La Valle
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 26, 2023) – Friday night, a bicycle crash on Via De La Valle in San Diego led to crippling injuries.
The incident occurred at about 11:55 p.m. in the 2299 block of Via De La Valle.
Reports said that a 43-year-old man rode a Cervelo ZHT bike in the second westbound lane. Meanwhile, a 62-year-old man driving a 2014 Ford MPV traveled in the same lane.
Police confirmed that the driver crashed into the bicyclist. However, the cause of the crash remained under investigation.
First responders transported the bicyclist to a hospital in the area for treatment of his serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
SDPD’s Traffic Division also responded to the scene and handles the crash investigation.
