Injuries Reported in 10 Freeway Multi-Car Crash near Highway 62 [Whitewater, CA]

Several Injured in Rollover Crash in Whitewater

 
WHITEWATER, CA (April 19, 2019) – Several people were injured following a multi-car crash on 10 Freeway, near Highway 62 Thursday afternoon.
 
Authorities began receiving dispatch calls about the accident around 2:00 p.m. First responders arrived to the area soon after. Three vehicles were reportedly involved, one of which was identified as a black Ford Expedition SUV.
 
The circumstances leading up to the collision are unclear at this time; however, the Ford was found overturned upon officers arrival. The two other damaged vehicles also subsequently came to a stop on the eastbound side.
 
According to reports, the Ford rolled from the eastbound to the westbound lanes due to the impact. Debris then littered the scene, consequently closing both directions of traffic.
 
Furthermore, the surrounding area was also blocked off while crews worked to clean the scene. All lanes were eventually reopened to commuters around 4:00 p.m.
 
The injuries sustained still remains unknown, but authorities are currently investigating.
