Nipomo Highway 101 Accident, Multiple Injuries

NIPOMO, CA (November 12, 2019) — On Monday morning, several cars crashed in a Highway 101 accident near Highway 166 caused multiple injuries.

According to a witness, at least one of the cars involved reached speeds of approximately 100 mph. Another car reportedly overturned on the Highway 166 on-ramp and veered off the freeway.

California Highway Patrol officers confirmed that no one died. However, ambulances did respond to the scene to transport an unknown number of victims to local hospitals.

As a result of the crash, authorities closed off the freeway for roughly 45 minutes.

The factors of the crash are under investigation and so far, authorities reported that fog had been present at the time.
