Carson City Auto Accident on Curry Street near South Carson Street
CARSON CITY, NV (September 12, 2021) – Saturday night, a chase that ended in a crash on Curry Street near South Carson Street led to injuries.
The incident happened just before 7:00 p.m. near a car dealership on South Carson Street and Curry Street.
According to reports, the deputies started the chase when they responded to a car burglary in progress. The reported incident occurred in the area of Lennox and Betts.
Reports described the involved individuals as an adult man wearing a red shirt and red shoes and an adult woman.
Upon the deputies arrival, they started the chase. Then, the vehicle collided with another vehicle on Curry Street. Thus, the individuals started fleeing on foot.
After running back and forth between a car dealership and Wells Fargo bank, the deputies captured the man. Then, he complained of an old hip injury that was re-injured during the incident.
Meanwhile, the authorities apprehended the 20-year-old woman at gunpoint in the dealership parking lot. She complained of having a medical problem related to asthma. Thus, medical responders came to the scene.
Moreover, the authorities confirmed that an 88-year-old occupant of the vehicle struck by the suspects complained of chest pain.
Also, the deputies found bullets inside the vehicle. However, they didn’t find any guns.
NHP also responded to the scene. Furthermore, the authorities advised motorists to avoid Curry Street and use alternate routes.
