Santa Rosa Hit and Run Accident on Alexander Valley Road and West Soda Rock Lane

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (June 16, 2021) – Tuesday night, a hit-and-run crash on Alexander Valley Road and West Soda Rock Lane left a woman injured, and Daniel Trippel arrested.
 
The accident happened at around 8:40 p.m. on Alexander Valley Road and West Soda Lane, headed toward State Route 128. Moreover, it happened near the Red Wine and Silver Oak wineries.
 
According to reports, the crash transpired when DUI driver Daniel Trippel, of Healdsburg, drove into opposing traffic.
 
Indeed, Trippel’s white Chevrolet sideswiped a woman’s Toyota RAV4.
 
The Chevrolet then drove another two vehicles off the road, before fleeing the scene.
 
Even so, CHP located the suspect vehicle near Lone Pine road, with 39-year-old Trippel passed out in the driver’s seat.
 
They then booked him into Sonoma County Jail for felony hit and run causing injury, and driving under the influence (DUI).
Meanwhile, the crash led to one-way traffic control on the Sausal Creek Bridge over the Russian River.
 
Also, the authorities report the woman suffered moderate injuries, but did not seek hospitalization.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
