Drivers Injured in National City Vehicle Crash

National City, CA (July 02, 2021) – On Friday, drivers were injured in Highland Avenue head-on crash.

Officers said an Infinity male driver was northbound on Highland Avenue. He ran the red light on purpose due to being late to a dental appointment.

Unfortunately, he struck an elderly male who was westbound on 30th Street in the Toyota pickup and sent his vehicle spinning.

Afterwards, the Infinity then struck the male driver of the Nissan head-on who was waiting for his light to turn green.

Later on, the Infinity caught fire and the firefighters quickly put the fire out.

Right away, rescuers took the truck driver to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Similarly, the Infinity driver sustained a broken elbow/arm and an ankle. He was transported to a local hospital.

Always perform simple safety checks before you leave.

Start by inspecting your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals, be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away.

Also, take a reading of your tire pressure and make sure you maintain the recommended maximum. While at it, take a peek under your vehicle and ensure there are no loose objects or leaks.
