Inderpal Rajput Dead Following Fog Induced Accident on Highway 99

 
Gridley, CA – Early Saturday, 61-year-old Inderpal Rajput was among the 5 dead from a Highway 99 crash caused by heavy morning fog.
 
Several big rigs and passenger vehicles took part in the crash. It happened on Highway 99, south of Hinamin Drive, between Gridley and Biggs.
 
Furthermore, the fatal crash also sent two patients to the hospital with minor to major injuries.
 
At this time, the crash involving ten vehicles amid a thick fog remained under investigation.
 
However, the CHP confirmed that low visibility due to heavy fog in the area played a role in the crash.
 
Furthermore, the National Weather Service said that misty fog covered much of the valley overnight.
 
Later on, the Butte Count Coroner confirmed that one of the victims of the crash was Inderpal Rajput, of Live Oak.
