Hunter Dorram of Grand Prairie Dies in Interstate 20 Pedestrian Accident [Harrison County, TX]

James Ford Involved in Harrison County Fatal Accident

Harrison County, TX (January 31, 2023) – On Monday, Hunter Dorram, 23, of Grand Prairie, sustained fatal injuries in an Interstate 20 pedestrian accident.

The fatal collision took place minutes past 7 p.m. less than a mile west of Waskom.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, an 18-wheeler driven by James Ford, 56, of Tyler, was westbound on the freeway when Hunter Dorram ran from the median. 

Unfortunately, Hunter Dorram was struck by the front left side of the 18-wheeler and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, James Ford was wearing his seat belt during the accident and did not sustain injuries in the Harrison County fatal accident.

Hunter Dorram was a student at East Texas Baptist University, where he played on the school‘s hockey team.
