Hunter Creel of Hardin killed in Head-On Collision on FM 563 [Wallisville, TX]

Wallisville, TX (September 9, 2023) – On Tuesday, 21-year-old Hunter Creel of Hardin was killed following a head-on collision on FM 563.

It was about 5 a.m. when a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 30-year-old Leteddrick Mathis of Somerville was southbound while a 2020 Kia Rio passenger car driven by Hunter Creel was northbound. 

The accident report stated that Mathis traveled into the northbound lane and struck the Kia.

Mathis was rushed to Memorial Hermann for treatment. Creel was transported to the same hospital where he was later declared deceased by medical staff.

The authorities are still investigating this deadly collision.
