A pedestrian accident has an extremely high potential for serious injury, even death. Thus, it is imperative for motorists to follow simple rules for safety. Pay attention to crosswalks, making sure pedestrians are not crossing the road before passing through the crosswalk. Follow traffic regulations and yield to pedestrians already crossing the road even if not at the crosswalk.
