Fatal Car Crash near Manning and Jacobs Avenues Leaves Hugo Hernandez Dead

 
Orange Cove, CA (August 7, 2020)– Thursday evening, 18-year-old Hugo Hernandez died and one sustained injuries in a car crash near Manning and Jacobs Avenues.
 
The incident happened at around 5:00 p.m., on August 6.
 
Investigators say the driver of a black Honda traveling southbound on Jacobs Avenue when for unknown reasons, pulled into the path of a silver Honda traveling west on Manning Avenue.
 
The driver on Manning failed to stop and hit the other car in the driver’s side door.
 
As a result, both cars careened into the shoulder, striking down a telephone pole. The impact killed the black Honda driver, later identified as Hugo Hernandez, of Reedley.
 
Meanwhile, the other driver was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries.
 
No other information is available. A further investigation is ongoing.
