Passenger Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash Near Highway 105
Bryan, TX (September 7, 2024) On Thursday evening, a driver and a passenger were seriously hurt after a disastrous traffic crash on SH 249.
According to the Texas DPS, the 2-vehicle head-on crash happened at about 6:16 p.m. on SH 249 in Grimes County near Highway 105.
Reports say that a northbound 2013 Peterbilt 18-wheeler and a 2011 Toyota Tacoma collided head-on in the area.
Officials say that the driver of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and was taken to Memorial Herman – Woodlands, while the passenger also suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to CHI St. Joesph Regional Hospital.
Authorities say that the driver of the semi-truck escaped injuries.
DPS is investigating the head-on crash and have not released further information at this time.
