1 Dead in Fresno County Skateboard Accident on Highway 43 and East Conejo Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 29, 2023) – Friday night, a horrific skateboard crash on Highway 43 and East Conejo Avenue killed 1 person.

The crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Highway 43 and East Conejo Avenue, four miles west of Kingsburg.

According to reports, a CHP officer witnessed the fatal crash.

Meanwhile, CHP spokesman Mike Salas revealed that as a Dodge sedan traveled south on Highway 43, the man on the skateboard on Conejo Avenue went across the highway and directly into the path of the vehicle.

Officers described the victim as a man in his 20s. Also, officers declared him dead at the scene.

Also, the authorities do not believe that alcohol and drugs played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
