KANSAS CITY, MO (April 15, 2025) – Monday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on Interstate 435 killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 4:10 a.m. when a tractor-trailer with a tank trailer traveled north on Interstate 435 from 210 Highway. Then, a pedestrian in dark-colored clothes walked across the highway.

A pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer on northbound I-435 near Worlds of Fun, according to Kansas City police.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where medical staff later pronounced him dead, authorities said.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
