SUNNYVALE, CA (April 24, 2023) – Sunday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on Fair Oaks Avenue and East Taylor Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 8:20 p.m. on Fair Oaks Avenue and East Taylor Avenue.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a man as he tried to cross Fair Oaks Avenue, said the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Officers and fire personnel responded to the intersection and found the man with major injuries.

Apparently, he headed east across Fair Oaks Avenue. Then, a single vehicle driving north hit him.

As a result, responders declared him dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigators.

At this time, the authorities do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
