1 Dead in Austin Pedestrian Accident on 8900 South Interstate 35
AUSTIN, TX (January 1, 2025) – Sunday morning, a person died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 8900 South Interstate 35.
The incident happened just after 4:00 a.m. on the 8900 block of South Interstate 35.
According to initial reports from APD, the driver fled the scene following the crash, leaving the victim, who was pronounced dead on-site.
This incident marks the 94th deadly crash and the 101st fatality in the city this year.
