ROOSEVELT COUNTY, NM (February 10, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a horrific multi-vehicle crash on US 70 and Kakawate Road killed 1 person.

The incident involving multiple vehicles happened at the intersection of US 70 and Kakawate Road.

Roosevelt County Sheriff Javier Sanchez confirmed that the crash involved four cars and two 18-wheelers, resulting in one fatality.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the New Mexico State Police are handling the investigation.
