GILBERT, AZ (December 18, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a horrific motorcycle crash on Ray Road and Higley Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ray Road and Higley Road. Officers said that the crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle.

When the authorities arrived, Gilbert Fire and Rescue tried to save the life of the motorcyclist. However, the rider succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Also, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Moreover, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash stayed on scene, police added. Also, the authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
