Hemet, CA (September 27, 2024) On Thursday morning, a 39-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son were hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Yale Street.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the horrific pedestrian crash happened around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Yale Street and Salt Circle near Ramona Elementary School.
Reports say that a driver struck and injured the mother and her child in what appears to be a hit-and-run incident. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m.
CHP says that the mother was pushing her son in a stroller while they were crossing the street. Both were transported to a hospital with minor injuries for further assessment.
Authorities received a description of the suspect vehicle, identified as a light-colored pickup truck, but have not yet gathered more information about the driver.
