BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 8, 2023) – Sunday morning, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Brundage Lane killed 1 person.

The incident occurred just before 2:20 a.m. in the 400 block of Brundage Lane.

When the Bakersfield Police Department officers arrived, they located a man with major injuries lying on the road. Despite life-saving efforts, the Bakersfield Fire Department and Hall Ambulance personnel couldn’t save the man. They declared the victim dead at the scene.

Also, his identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Meanwhile, reports said that as the pedestrian crossed the road northbound outside a crosswalk, an eastbound vehicle hit him. Then, the driver fled the crash scene.
