1 Dead in Long Beach Auto Accident on Shoreline Drive and Ocean Boulevard

LONG BEACH, CA (April 23, 2025) – Monday night, a passenger died in a horrific high-speed crash on Shoreline Drive and Ocean Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 10:20 p.m. on Shoreline Drive and Ocean Boulevard.

A 19-year-old Van Nuys resident was killed in a crash after a car overturned and hit a tree on Shoreline Drive in Long Beach, police said.

Officers found a 2005 Chevrolet sedan in the median, resting on a tree with three people trapped inside. Firefighters extricated the occupants. One passenger died at the scene, and the two others were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the driver was heading northbound at a high speed when the vehicle veered off the road and crashed. Investigators are looking into speed and impaired driving as possible factors.
