TEMPLE, TX (October 22, 2023) – Friday night, a horrific head-on crash on 3300 Charter Oak Drive killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 7:18 p.m. in the 3300 block of Charter Oak Drive.

According to reports, a 17-year-old boy drove a pickup truck south on Charter Oak Drive. Then, it veered across the northbound lanes and crashed head-on with a Ford Expedition.

As a result, the teen succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the woman and three children occupying the Expedition were taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
