SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 3, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a horrific bicycle crash on 12800 O’Connor Road near Weidner Road killed 1.

The incident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. in the 12800 block of O’Connor Road near Weidner Road.

Authorities say the driver of a green SUV veered off the road for unknown reasons and struck a bicyclist riding on the grass.

A good Samaritan stopped to perform life-saving measures until EMS arrived. The bicyclist, described as a man in his 30s or 40s, was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

A witness driving behind the SUV captured the crash on their dashcam, but officers have not yet reviewed the footage.

Police noted that the driver showed signs of intoxication and is being evaluated. Charges may be pending.
