1 Dead in San Jacinto Auto Accident on San Jacinto Avenue and Esplanade Avenue

SAN JACINTO, CA (June 23, 2024) – Friday night, a person died in a horrific 2-vehicle crash on San Jacinto Avenue and Esplanade Avenue.

Reports said that the crash occurred at about 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of San Jacinto Avenue and Esplanade Avenue.

Deputies arrived at the scene to find two vehicles, one of which had overturned. Both drivers, who were the sole occupants of their vehicles, were severely injured and trapped inside, according to the sheriff’s department.

The Riverside County Fire Department also responded, providing medical aid and extricating the drivers. Both were rushed to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other was listed in stable condition.

The identities of the drivers have not been released pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the crash is currently unknown, and the San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Team has taken over the investigation.
