Archie, MO (March 15, 2025) On Wednesday evening, a 45-year-old Greenwood man sustained serious injuries after a horrific 2-vehicle collision on I-49.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the rear-end crash happened around 8:45 p.m. on Interstate 49.

Reports say that a Greenwood man sustained serious injuries when a semi-truck rear-ended his SUV.

Authorities say that a 54-year-old Kansas City man driving a 2005 Kenworth semi-truck failed to slow down in time and crashed into a 2021 Cadillac XT-4 driven by the Greenwood man.

Emergency responders transported the injured SUV driver to Cass Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities confirmed that both drivers wore seatbelts. The Cadillac was totaled, while the semi-truck sustained minor damage.
