1 Killed after DWI Crash on SW Loop 410 in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (October 15, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a man died in a crash on SW Loop 410.

The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. on October 15.

Reportedly, the incident involved a minivan. A caller had told police that a minivan appeared to be wrecked, and it looked like someone was trying to perform CPR on the passenger.

Police responded to the 7300 block of SW Loop 410 and found the victim lying in the back of the van, unresponsive.

The 39-year-old victim was pulled from the van and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the van had struck a nearby unoccupied TXDOT vehicle in place of a damaged guardrail. 

The minivan driver’s narrative was contradictory, and he refused to recognize the victim’s death. Furthermore, the victim’s injuries all over his body indicated a brutal death. 

The suspect was booked for DWI. 

No additional information is immediately available.
