Driver Severely Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on US 101 in Shelton

 
Shelton, WA (January 8, 2021) – Early Friday morning, a 38-year-old Hoodsport man sustained severe injuries in a two-vehicle crash on US 101.
 
The Shelton crash happened at around 5 a.m. on January 8.
 
According to reports, a car and a log truck collided just north of Shelton on U.S. 101.
 
Police said both vehicles were traveling north on US 101. when the car left the roadway to the left, rolled and landed on its roof in the northbound lane.
 
Then the truck struck the car and both vehicles came to a rest in a ditch near Purdy Canyon Drive.
 
As a result, the car driver sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
 
Moreover, troopers listed the man as the cause of the collision, but the crash is still under investigation.
 
Meanwhile, the truck driver, a 32-year-old Rochester man, remains uninjured, and he placed the initial call for emergency services.
 
Police continue to further investigate this US 101 crash.
