Homeless Man “Oz” Killed in Accident on Hesperia Road [Hesperia, CA]

Hesperia, CA (March 22, 2025) – A homeless man commonly known as “Oz“, was killed in a pedestrian accident on Hesperia Road Thursday night.

The fatal traffic crash happened before 9 p.m. south of Bear Valley Road near Donert Street.

Rescuers performed CPR on Oz before he was rushed to a hospital in Victorville, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Peter Laureano, a 26-year-old Hesperia resident, witnessed the crash. He said “Oz” was attempting to cross the street after finding one liquor store closed. He said Oz was hit by two vehicles.

The involved drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Meanwhile, the Hesperia Police Department is investigating the collision.
