Male Victim Pronounced Dead after Police Discover Body near Bonneville Avenue in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (May 14, 2020) – Early Tuesday morning, an unidentified homeless man was killed in a train accident near Main Street.
Metropolitan Police Department received a train accident report around 12:51 a.m. on May 12. Homicide detectives rushed to the scene and found a dead man’s body in downtown Las Vegas.
Police say the homeless man was hit and killed by a train in a nearby railroad track. In addition, the unidentified victim suffered a head injury from the impact.
Moreover, the surrounding area near Main Street was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
According to reports, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
