Hoanh Thanh Ngo Dead in 3-Vehicle Crash on Magnolia Avenue [Stanton, CA]

Stanton, CA (May 4, 2025) – Hoanh Thanh Ngo, 55, of Stanton, was killed in a 3-vehicle crash on Magnolia Avenue late Wednesday night.

It was around 11 p.m. when the fatal collision happened on Pacific Avenue in Stanton.

Investigators said James Anthony Deleon, 30, of Irvine, was driving a Dodge sedan that collided head-on with a Toyota van. 

The impact of the collision pushed the cars into a third vehicle that was parked nearby. 

Responding officers declared Hoanh Thanh Ngo deceased at the scene while Deleon had fled the scene on foot. 

The authorities located Deleon a short time later and arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence with a prior conviction. 

Deleon was booked into the Orange County Jail for murder and a DUI causing injury.

The OCSD’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this fatal crash and asks anyone with additional information to call OCSD’s Traffic Bureau at 949-425-1860.
