Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Westheimer Road Claims a Life [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (February 4, 2025) – A man was found dead after a horrific hit-and-run crash on Westheimer Road late Sunday evening.

Authorities say that Houston police discovered the man deceased near Fondren at around 11:30 p.m.

Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene after hitting the man in west Houston late Sunday.

Officials say that the victim, whose identity remains unknown, was running northbound across the road in an attempt to beat traffic. A black SUV traveling westbound hit him, but instead of stopping, the driver fled the scene.

The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released further details but continue to investigate the incident.
