Police Searching Suspect in Tacoma Avenue Hit-and-Run Collision
Tacoma, WA (March 20, 2023) On Monday morning, a hit-and-run crash on Tacoma Avenue South left a woman injured.
Tacoma PD says that the hit-and-run collision happened around 6 a.m. between South 13th and South 15th streets.
Reports say that the collision involved a a U-Haul rental truck and a car. Officials say that the driver of the U-Haul was travelling at a high-rate of speed, then failed to stop on a red light.
Consequently, the U-Haul collided with the car, however, the U-Haul driver fled from the scene.
Meanwhile, the impact of the collision caused the car to crash into a building, and left the female driver trapped inside. Rescuers extricated teh woman and transported her to the hospital.
Authorities are actively searching for the suspect driver. Police are investigating the Tacoma Avenue hit-and-run collision.
