Kent, WA (December 19, 2023) On Friday, a 28-year-old Kent woman was hurt after a disastrous hit-and-run crash on South 196th Street.

According to the Kent Police Department (KPD), the traffic collision happened at South 196th Street and 80th Street.

Reports say that the woman was struck by a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Des Moines man, officials say that the man fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

Officials say that a witness led police to the suspects location, authorities say that the witness followed behind the suspect and watched as the driver tried to hide his car between semi-trucks.

Authorities arrested and booked the Des Moines man into jail for investigation of hit-and-run with injury.

KPD is investigating the hit-and-run traffic collision.
