Kansas City, MO (May 24, 2025) On Thursday evening, a pedestrian tragically lost their life after a horrific hit-and-run crash on Interstate 435.

According to authorities, the deadly crash happened around 11 p.m. ear the I-435 North ramp and I-70 westbound.

Reports say that a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene before authorities arrived at the scene.

Kansas City police responded to the fatal hit-and-run late Thursday night. Officers found the victim deceased at the scene with the driver no longer present.

Investigators believe the pedestrian was crossing the highway when the vehicle hit them and fled. Authorities continue to search for the suspect.
