Horrific Hit-and-Run Crash on Forbestown Road Results in Injuries [Oroville, CA]

CHP Investigates Traffic Collision on Old Olive Highway

Oroville, CA (March 21, 2023) On Monday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Forbestown Road sent a person to the hospital.

CHP says that the traffic collision happened near Old Olive Highway and Forbestown Road at around 6 p.m.

Reports say that a westbound 2005 Saturn Ion travelling at high-speed collided with an eastbound white 1990 Dodge truck.

Authorities say that the Saturn crossed double yellow lines and collided into the truck. Officials say that the truck driver attempted to avoid crashing into the Saturn, however the Saturd still collided with the front side of the truck.

The impact of the collision had the Dodge rollover multiple times and end up on its roof. Rescuers found the driver trapped inside the vehicle, officials pulled the driver out of the wreck and rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Saturn fled on foot and left a passenger that officials detained.

CHP is investigating the hit-and-run crash and has not released additional information at this time.
