Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Auto Accident on 8500 South Figueroa Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 8, 2024) – Last April 1st, a startling hit-and-run crash on 8500 South Figueroa Street injured 2 people.
The incident happened at 10:00 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Figueroa Street in South Los Angeles.
According to reports, the drivers collided with each other as they raced. Then, the driver of the Mercedes AMG escaped on foot after the crash, leaving his female passenger in the car. Responders treated her at the scene but did not require further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge Charger was taken by LAFD into an ambulance while his passenger remained trapped.
Officers said that the passenger possibly failed to wear her seatbelt. Thus, LAFD used the Jaws of Life to free the female victim with back and leg injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
