WSP Searching Suspect in Auto-Pedestrian Accident on SR 97
Toppenish, WA (July 20, 2023) Early Friday morning, a woman was seriously hurt after a hit-and-run collision on Fort Road.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), that the auto-pedestrian accident happened around 4:20 a.m. at the intersection of SR 97 and Fort Road.
Reports say that a northbound vehicle hit and injured a woman crossing SR 97 using a crosswalk. The driver failed to stop and render aid to the injured woman.
Medics rushed the critically injured female pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
WSP is searching for the suspect driver and vehicle, who remains at large. Authorities are investigating the auto-pedestrian accident and have not provided additional information at this time.
