Jeep and Big Rig Collide on Highway 58 in Hinkley

 
HINKLEY, CA (January 7, 2019) – One person was injured following a two-vehicle collision Monday night in Hinkley, the California Highway Patrol reported.
 
The collision happened just before 6:00 p.m. on eastbound Highway 58 at Hinkley Road.
 
According to the CHP, a Jeep and a big rig collided for unknown reasons. The Jeep then spun out and went about 60 feet off the roadway and into a fence.
 
One occupant reportedly suffered a possible head injury as a result of the accident. The patient was then transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
The Jeep sustained major damage from the crash and was towed away for evidence.
 
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
