Hillview Drive DUI Crash Kills 53-Year-Old Modesto Man [Fremont, CA]

19-Year-Old Fremont Man Injured in Vehicle Collision on Niles Boulevard

Fremont, CA (February 9, 2023) On Monday evening, a 53-year-old man from Modesto died in a possible suspected DUI crash on Hillview Drive.

Authorities say that the deadly vehicle collision happened at around 8:27 p.m. at the intersection with Niles Boulevard.

Reports say that a 19-year-old Fremont man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and medics transported the Fremont driver to a hospital.

Meanwhile, Fremont Fire Department crews extricated the Modesto driver from the wreck. However, despite life-saving attempts the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

Officials say that the 19-year-old driver’s vehicle’s front side collided with the the driver’s side of the Modesto man’s vehicle. Afterward, both vehicles collided with a parked vehicle that is unoccupied.

Moreover, the Fremont man’s vehicle ended up on top of the east curb line, while the othewr vehicle crashed into a nearby residence, causing minor damage to the home.

Fremont Police Department is investigating the possible DUI crash and are waiting on pending toxicology reports and search warrants for medical records.
