Highway K Tragic Accident Injures 3 Teens [Lincoln County, MO]

Lincoln County, MO (May 03, 2025) – A 23-year-old Old Monroe woman was tragically killed while 3 teens were hurt Thursday afternoon in the Highway K Tragic Accident.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the fatal incident happened at the intersection of Highway K and southbound US 61 around 4:40 p.m.

Reports say that a 23-year-old woman from Old Monroe, Missouri, died in a four-vehicle crash in Lincoln County.

Officials say that the woman was driving a 2017 Hyundai Sonata eastbound on Highway K when she failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.

Afterward, the vehicle overturned and struck a 2024 Ford F-150 and a 2013 Buick Lacrosse traveling northbound on US 61.

Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene. Three teenagers in the Malibu sustained moderate injuries.

MSHP Troop C is investigating the crash.
