5 People Hurt in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 99
Modesto, CA (July 18, 2022) On Saturday, a big-rig collision Injured 5 people on southbound Highway 99.
The California Highway Patrol says that a big rig struck the back of a 26,000-pound box truck north of Carpenter Road.
Reports say that the impact caused the box truck to roll over. The box truck blocked multiple lanes of the Highway. Afterward, a Buick collided with the box truck.
Paramedics transported 5 people to the hospital. Officials say that 3 people suffered major injuries, while 2 sustained minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating the incident and has made no arrest at this time. Impairment is not a factor in the crash.
