Multiple Injured in Car-Motorcycle Collision on State Route
Whatcom County, WA (July 12, 2022) On Saturday afternoon, 2 motorcycle riders suffered injuries in a vehicle crash on Highway 547.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the car-motorcycle collision happened around 2:12 p.m. along Reese Hill Road.
Reports say that a 55-year-old Deming man driving a Toyota 4Runner collided with 2 motorcycle riders. The riders are a 37-year-old man from Sarasota, Florida, and a 42-year-old Maple Falls woman.
The crash ejected both riders from their motorcycles.
Paramedics transported both motorcyclists to St. Joseph’s hospital in Bellingham. Moreover, both riders sustained “substantial” injuries. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver sustained minor injuries.
Authorities do not suspect impairment to be a factor in the crash. Both riders had helmets on, and the driver was buckled up.
