Moreover, authorities responded to the scene at about 2:07 a.m. at 19th Street.
Apparently, Martinez drove his vehicle through a red light and went southbound on Newport Boulevard.
As a result, he struck a pedestrian and crashed into another vehicle before rolling over.
Immediately, rescuers rushed the pedestrian and the driver of the second vehicle to a nearby hospital. There is no update on their condition.
On the other hand, Martinez was not injured in the crash. Officers arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving.
This is a stark reminder that it is important to always be a responsible driver.
How To Proceed From a Costa Mesa Accident
Moreover, while driving is essential for many to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous daily activities. Thus, it is therefore important to know how to proceed in case you are involved in an accident.
