Norma Marquez-Gonzales and Leo Sandoval Dies in 2-Vehicle Wrong-Way Collision on 42nd Street
Ector County, TX (April 23, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, Hector Martinez-Olivas, Norma Marquez-Gonzales, Leo Sandoval, and a 14-year-old boy were killed in a horrific wrong-way crash on 42nd Street.
According to authorities, the fatal collision happened on 42nd Street and FM 1936.
Reports say that a westbound Dodge Ram 1500 on the eastbound lane of 42nd Street collided with an eastbound Chevy Silverado.
The collision killed the Chevy driver and his 2 passengers, identified as Martinez-Olivas, Marquez-Gonzales, and the teenager. Meanwhile, medics rushed the Dodge’s driver, identified as Sandoval to Medical Center Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the wrong-way crash and have not released further information at this time.
