HAYWARD, CA – Woman Unconscious in Two-Car Crash on 880 Freeway at Whipple Road

Afternoon 2-Car Wreck on 880 Freeway in Hayward Hurts One

 
HAYWARD, CA (January 12, 2019) – A woman was found unconscious following a two-car crash Saturday afternoon on 880 Freeway in Hayward.
 
The crash happened around 1:21 p.m. on the northbound direction of 880 Freeway, just South of Whipple Road off-ramp.
 
According to the CHP, a white Mercedes-Benz and a green Toyota Corolla collided, causing major damage on the Toyota, while the Mercedes sustained a broken left rear axle.
 
Emergency crews arrived and located a female occupant who was unconscious inside a car with injuries. The woman was transported to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Both damaged vehicles were towed away from the crash scene.
 
An investigation is still ongoing to determine who was at fault and to gather all the factors involved in the accident.
